We have a few special suppliers who deliver scrumptious ingredients for our meals & drinks

Karoo Fish & Veg – Produces organically grown lettuce and micro greens that you’ll find on your plate. They have an aquaponics farm on the Karoo Square premises. You will see an example of this system in our restaurant. Just look for the giant goldfish and our resident crayfish ‘Frikkie’.

Milly’s Trout Farm – Supply us with delicious smoked trout for dishes like the Trout Pasta & Bruschetta. All the way from Machadodorp.

Honey – The honey on your French toast or roosterkoek comes to us from a South African Bee farmer, Jan Snyders. Jan takes his bees out to pollinate growing harvests like sunflowers or kidney beans. Regular visitors to Karoo will find the flavour subtly changing according to the seasons.

Simo’s Coffee Roastery - You’ll find a wonderful selection of coffees on our menu, supplied by our in-house coffee roaster. Beans of different origins, blends and flavours are available to make your choice of cappuccino as unique as your fingerprints.

GUDGU is a unique boutique foods factory created by foodies for foodies, who love good honest slow cooking and who can appreciate good old fashion quality in an ever evolving modern urban landscape. They supply us with old school cordials like the Lemonade & Pink Lemonade as well as Ginger beer to satisfy any connoisseur customer.

We have chosen Darling Breweries as our House Craft Beer - One of South Africa’s first well established and award-winning microbreweries since 2010. They brew a wide range of great craft beers that are loved for their flavour, high quality ingredients and slow brewing process. Each beer in the range has unique characteristics and an inspiring story dedicated to the endangered creature it honours and supports through various conservation programs we donate to, and that’s why we like them even more.
